Dr. Beattie has 35 years of orthopedic experience in clinical practice and medical legal proceedings. He has performed multiple chart reviews and depositions and has had the opportunity to provide court room testimony at trial on several occasions.
Dr. Robert Beattie is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with more than 35 years of clinical experience in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopy, and orthopedic trauma. He has practiced in academic medical centers, integrated health systems, and community hospitals in both Canada and the United States.
A graduate of Queen’s University School of Medicine in Kingston, Ontario, Dr. Beattie completed his orthopedic specialty training in Ottawa and British Columbia with focused expertise in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and trauma care. As a former competitive athlete, he served as a team physician for professional sports organizations including the Canadian National Ski Team and the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League.
Since relocating to Vermont in 1992, Dr. Beattie has maintained an active clinical practice while developing additional expertise in knee, shoulder, and hip reconstructive surgery. He has more than twenty years of experience utilizing computer-assisted and technology-enabled surgical techniques, supporting improved precision and patient outcomes.
